We are currently looking to add a dynamic vegetation control technician to our passionate team of utility vegetation management professionals. Your office is outdoors, and you get a new view every day!
JOB DUTIES WHAT YOU'LL DO:
*Maintain standard levels of vegetation in the area surrounding utility poles by:
*Applying herbicides to control weeds and grasses *Using equipment to maintain appropriate levels of vegetation *Following contracts for work requirements and job specifications
*Collect data to monitor and manage levels of invasive species of vegetation *Properly maintain, calibrate, and operate all tools and equipment including, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more. *There is plenty of room for growth with us! QUALIFICATIONS WHAT WE'RE SEEKING:
*Love of the outdoors *Ability to complete Electrical Hazard Awareness Program and OSHA training *Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire *Required: valid driver's license *Preferred: Commercial Driver's License-Class A or B with Airbrake Endorsement *Preferred: vegetation control experience or other related work *Preferred: relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law *Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional® ADDITIONAL INFORMATION WHAT WE OFFER: *
